Kay D. Purucker, 67, of Coulter Street in Edwardsburg, died on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at 12:53 p.m. at her home, following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, at Coulter's Chapel Church of God, Niles, with the Rev. David D. DeVoll of the church, officiating.
Burial will be in Coulter's Chapel Cemetery, Niles.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 6, at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles.
She was born on Oct. 26, 1941, at Elkhart, Ind., to Charles Richard Clark and Lucille Thelma Gritton Clark.
She attended Edwardsburg schools and was a lifetime area resident.
She was a member of Coulter's Chapel Church of God, Niles. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and bird watching.
The most important thing to her was her family.
On March 29, 1986, in Edwardsburg, she married Richard Allen Purucker, who survives.
Additional surviving family include two sons, Lee (Tina) Morris of Niles and Tony Morris of Niles; a step-son, Thomas Purucker of Niles; step-daughter,, Violet Greenfield of Niles; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Diane Horvath of Niles and Joanie Andrews of Edwardsburg; two brothers, Dennis Clark of Cassopolis and Charles "Sonny" Clark of Bristol, Ind. and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice At Home.
