YMCA idea to be inclusive is a Christian one

To the editor:
I’ve read the Reverend Jeff Whittaker’s diatribe (Letter to the Editor Tuesday, June 16, 2009) about the YMCA’s feeble attempt to change the Bible’s Definition of family several times and I am still confused. The YMCA is a positive force in this struggling area.
The Reverend seems upset by the possibility that hoomosexuals might benefit from the YMCA policy change. Get over it.
Should we exculde all sinners, assuming that two people of the same sex in a household are homosexuals and that that is a sin? Should we go after adulterers? Should we go after women at the YMCA, after all they are not ‘young men?’ How about seniors, like myself, we are not ‘young men?’ I could go on.
The YMCA wants to be inclusive, that seems Christian to me.
