WYOMING – PVT Justine Lewis of Niles, has joined the 1463rd Trans Rear, Michigan Army National Guard and is assigned as a Motor Transport Operator. Lewis is a junior at Edwardsburg High School and the daughter of Damon and Marcy Christner of Niles.
Lewis will be attending basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. on July 22. Upon completion, Lewis will return home to complete her senior year and will return to Fort Leonard Wood to be trained as a Motor Transport Operator and is scheduled to graduate on July 24, 2010.
PVT Ron Shelton of Niles, has joined the 1463rd Trans Rear, Michigan Army National Guard and is assigned as a Motor Transport Operator. Shelton is a junior at Niles High School.
Shelton attended basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. on June 03. Upon completion, Shelton will return home to complete his senior year, then will return to Fort Leonard Wood to be trained as a Motor Transport Operator in 2010.
Shelton is the son of Ted Shelton of Berrien Springs and Nichole Shelton of Niles.
PVT Kyle Weathers of Niles, has joined the Fort Custer Training Command, Michigan Army National Guard and is assigned as a Human Resource Specialist. Weathers is a graduate of Niles Community Schools. Weathers is the son of Hershel and Michele Weathers of Niles.
Weathers attended basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C. on May 20, 2009. He remains at Fort Jackson, to be trained as a Human Resource Specialist.
