CASSOPOLIS – On Wednesday, June 24, the Cass County Council on Aging (COA) will present "My Balad Experience" from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Retired Air Force Col. Russell Linman, DDS, MD will present an informational slide show of his experience as a trauma surgeon at Joint Base Balad, north of Baghdad in the Iraq War. He will describe how war has changed since the World War II and the Vietnam era and discuss the importance of understanding the weapons used in today's warfare and their impact on our society.
