Donald E. Ickes, Sr., 74, died at the Tuscany Hospice House in Summerfield, Fla. on Nov. 27, 2008.
A memorial service for Donald will be at Harrison Cemetery in Decatur on Saturday, June 27, at 2 p.m.
He was born in Decatur on May 13, 1934, to Elmont and Minnie Ickes.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Donald, Ickes, Jr.
Surviving family includes a daughter, Lori (Randy) Livingston; and sons, Ronald, Terry and Perry (Karen) Ickes. He also leaves a sister, Janet Porter and a brother, David (Mary Ellen) Ickes and ex-wife and long time friend, Laura Watson; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and friends.
