Chemical Bank is partnering with Michiana SCORE Chapter No. 266 to offer a free workshop on surviving the recession to business owners on Wednesday, June 24.
Michiana SCORE Chapter No. 266 representatives Fred Schmeideler, Tom Celie and Dick Dittoe will present an informational session focusing on ways to survive the recession based on Michael McDermitt's new book 2009-2011 Recession Survival Guide. The free workshop will identify warning signs and provide ideas for reducing costs and maintaining or even increasing sales. The seminar is directed at reengineering existing businesses but is also applicable for new startup businesses.
The workshop will be held on Wednesday, June 24, at Southwestern Michigan College's Niles Campus from 7:30 until 10 a.m. A panel of professionals from SCORE, Chemical Bank, the Small Business Administration and Niles Economic Development will be available to answer questions following the presentation.
