To the editor:

As a lifelong resident, two places give me great pride in my hometown of Niles. My church, Hope Community, which is like an extended family, where everyone is welcomed, accepted and loved. We have an awesome church family and I am proud to be a part and see all they do for our community.

Secondly, Riverfront Park. I’m so thankful to the city for the development, as I always enjoy walking my dogs there and it’s great seeing families picnicking, people reading, skateboarding, biking, just enjoying the outdoors and peacefulness of nature.

My only suggestion to enhance the park would be a dog park for dog owners.
