Howard Township wins tournament

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. – Howard Township went 3-0 over the weekend to win the Baseball Players Association War By The Shore Tournament.
Howard Township defeated the Knox Travelers 13-0 in the championship game.
Howard Township also defeated host Michigan City 11-0 and the Travelers 11-5.
Connor Brawley was the winning pitcher in the championship game for Howard Township.
Brawley also had three hits to lead the team offensively.
Mike Mudd chipped in with a double, while Jake LaLone, Hunter Bedell and Drew Rudlaff each had a hit.
Singled out for their defensive work were catcher Thomas Dunlap and outfielders Nate Pierce and Jakob Weist.
Pitching for Howard Township were Brawley, Dunlap, Bedell and LaLone.
The War By The Shore is a BPA World Series qualifier for the 9U Division.
