James E. Blake, 71, was surrounded by his family, when he went home to be with the Lord, on June 1, 2009, after a lengthy illness.
Services will be held at Faith Victory Fellowship, 13369 N. Main St., Buchanan, on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 11 a.m.
He was born in Mishawaka, Ind., moving later with his family to Buchanan. He graduated from Buchanan High School.
He married Judy Binns in 1977.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; daughters, Lori Blake of Richmond, Calif. and Cheryl Blake of Holland; a step-daughter, Laurie Bestle; two granddaughters, Christina Corsella of Connecticut and Taylor Rodman of Union; one-step grandson, Brad Grahl of Chicago, Ill.; brothers, Frank Blake of Niles, George Blake of Buchanan, and John Blake of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two sisters, Lois Ganser of Mishawaka, Ind. and Joanne Blake of Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a previous owner of All New Sales and Improvements in Niles, serving Michiana for more than 30 years. He retired from all New Sales starting the business of Jim's Wholesale and J&J Storage in Niles.
