Tammy S. Caison, 43, of Niles, died on Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at Lakeland Community Hospital, Niles.
She was born on Sept. 14, 1965, in the Osteopathic Hospital, South Bend, Ind., on a stormy night.
She graduated from Niles High School in 1984 and from Southwestern Michigan College.
She had worked for Big Lots and Wal-Mart, when these stores first opened.
She loved life to the fullest. She loved NASCAR, especially driver No. 14, Tony Stewart.
She had a great sense of humor and a great wit.
She is survived by her parents, Vickie Caison of Niles and her father, Linsey (Louella) Caison of Denton, N.C.; a brother, Jeffrey (Dana) Caison of Denton, N.C.; nieces and nephew, Alexandria Caison of Denton, N.C., Ashley Medford of Raleigh, N.C. and Aaron (Tiffany) Medford of Raleigh, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Delores (Hartline) Buysee, George Buysee and James and Ethel (Cheers) Caison.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Thursday, June 4, at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, with a brief ceremony at 7 p.m. by the Rev. Cindy L. VanParys, Chaplain of Lakeland Community Hospital.
The family will gather privately for committal services at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Denton, N.C.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Arrangements were by Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles.
