NILES – Athletic Jaier defeated the Tornados 2-1 on Sunday in the Blossomland Soccer League's First Division.
In other matches, Whirlpool United edged Niles Wolverines 3-2, P&R FC blanked Red Arrow FC 2-0 and Buchanan FC nipped the St. Joe Kickers Reserves 1-0.

Alex Boehm and Ryan Robinson scored for Jaier as it improved to 2-2 on the season.
John Lord had the lone goal for the Tornados, who fall to 1-3-1.

Whirlpool United raised its season record to 5-1 with the win over the Wolverines, who drop to 3-2.
Manolis Anagnostou had a pair of goals, while Jonatan Martinez also scored for the United.
Zech Hoyt and Danny Rodts tallied for the Wolverines.
