Body found in St. Joe River

ST. JOSEPH – On Friday, May 29, at approximately 7:58 a.m., the U.S. Coast Guard reported to the St. Joseph Police Department they had received reports of a body floating in the St. Joseph River near the CSX swing bridge.
The body was removed from the river and transported to Lakeland Hospital for an autopsy to determine cause of death.
The body has not yet been identified but it appears to be a male and has been in the river for at least several days.
