Two arrested for drug house

BUCHANAN – On Tuesday at approximately 8:15 a.m., the Berrien County Sheriff's Department Narcotics Unit, with assistance from the Buchanan Police Department, executed a search warrant for illegal narcotics at 104 Hobart St. in the City of Buchanan.
The search warrant resulted from a two-month long investigation by the Narcotics Unit after receiving complaints from citizens that drugs were being sold out of that residence.
At the time of the search warrant execution, the two adults were located inside the residence.
Rodger Scott Sutfin, 46 and Jennifer Lynn Sutfin, female, 30, of the above address were arrested.
Rodger was charged possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, second offense and maintaining a drug house, second offense.
Jennifer was charged with maintaining a drug house.
During a search of the residence, officers seized marijuana with an approximate street value of $600, scales and other evidence of illegal narcotic trafficking.
Also seized under the State of Michigan Civil Forfeiture Law was a 1994 Chevy Van, $574.00 in U.S. Currency and a cell phone.
The above suspects were lodged in the Berrien County Jail on their repective charges.
