Rocky Bonomo to speak at 60th All-Sports Banquet

Lock Haven head wrestling coach Anthony 'Rocky' Bon-omo will be the principal speaker at the 60th Annual All-Sports Banquet presented by the Dowagiac Athletic Booster Club.
Bonomo, who became head coach at Lock Haven in 2002, is no stranger to Dowagiac.
Bonomo has brought his Lock Haven wrestling to the Dowagiac Middle School on several ocassions.
Bonomo is a 17-year veteran of the Lock Haven wrestling program.
He was an assistant coach from 1990 until he took over as head coach seven years ago.
The Bald Eagles program has achieved much success with Bonomo leading the way.
The team has won numerous league championships and Bonomo has coached several NCAA qualifiers.
Prior to the 2008-09 season, Lock Haven had a 181-94-3 dual meet record and finished in the top 15 at the NCAA Division I level three times.
He came to Lock Haven after serving as an assistant coach at Bucknell University.
Bonomo is a 1987 graduate of Bloomsburg University, where he had an outstanding collegiate career.
He was a three-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference champion and a three-time Eastern Wrestling League titlist.
He also earned NCAA Division I All-America status twice.
He was selected to the Bloomsburg University Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999 and the Luzerne County Hall of Fame in 2005.
Bonomo joins a prestigeous list of principal speakers.
Among them are Muffett McGraw (Notre Dame), Lloyd Carr (Michigan), Gale Sayers (Chicago Bears), Ray Meyer (DePaul) and Duffy Daugherty (MSU).
