Sherry's life began on Dec. 3, 1963, in Compton, Calif., the daughter of William Jann Sr. and Judy Barrett Jann McLean.
She was united in marriage to Danny Northrop on May 6, 1989, in Dowagiac.
Sherry, 45, of Shelby, N.C., loved the outdoors. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with her husband. She played tennis and liked to swim.
Sherry loved her children and enjoyed spending time with them.
Her loving family includes: her husband, Danny Northrop of Shelby, N.C.; her parents, William Jann Sr. of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Judy McLean of Niles; her children, Amber Jann of Kalamazoo, Johnny Northrop of Constantine and Danny Northrop, Jr of Elkhart, Ind.; six grandchildren; sisters, Vicki Orrick of Fort Wayne and Brenda Lintz of Niles; brothers, Bill Jann Jr. of Niles, Bryan Jann of Edwardsburg and Jesse Jann of South Bend; and several nieces and nephews.
Sherry passed away on May 1, 2009, in Shelby, N.C.
Her family will gather with friends on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will be conducted on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Dowagiac, led by Pastor Robert L. Geans Sr.
She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery, Dowagiac.
