Three musical legends will be within a stone's throw of our communities this summer.
Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp will hit the Cove this July 4th for a huge concert.
Tickets for this historic event will go on sale Saturday at the Coveleski Stadium box office or by phone (574-235-9988). Tickets may also be purchased through Ticketmaster – either by phone (800-745-3000) or at their website: www.ticketmaster.com.
Many believe that this is the biggest concert in Michiana history.
Who are we to argue?
Dylan, Nelson and Mellencamp are all hall of famers. Their musical has influenced generations of musicians.
The $68.50 ticket price is a bargain as far as we are concerned.
You could pay that much for any one of them performing solo.
Add to that the fact that kids under 14 are free and you have got yourself quite a deal.
South Bend will be the second show on the tour, which means there will still be plenty of excitement when the three hit the stage.
Add to that the fact that it's the Fourth of July and there should be plenty of fireworks, both during the show and afterward.
Dylan started touring minor league ballparks in 2004 and more than a half-million people have come out to see the tour.
With the free admission for kids, Dylan and company are delivering their historic music to a whole new group of fans.
The chance to see the likes of Nelson, Mellencamp and Dylan may never come this way again.
So we suggest you head on down to the cover, dial up the telephone or fire up your computer and get tickets.
You won't be disappointed because these three performers can deliver on stage.
