Trina's life began on Feb. 1, 1970, in Paw Paw, the daughter of Robert (Bonnie) Smith and Marsha Adams.
She had been employed at the Decatur VFW and was a life member of the Decatur VFW Post.
Trina was united in marriage to Jeffrey Fester on Oct. 3, 2008, at their Dowagiac home.
She was an avid reader and loved to collect angels.
Trina especially loved her "grandbabies" that were the world to her.
Her loving family includes: her husband, Jeff Fester of Dowagiac; children, Jocelyn Gillette and Shaylin Gillette; two grandchildren, Gabriella and Kaylin Gillette; her father, Robert (Bonnie) Smith; her siblings, Tina (Randy) Goetz, Debby (Demetrio) Duran, Randy Smith and Terri Bass; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; her grandfathers; aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.
Trina passed away at her Dowagiac home on Tuesday, March 31, 2009, from a long illness.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Marsha Adams, and a grandmother, Ruthie Uldiene New.
Her family will receive friends on Friday from noon until 2 p.m. at McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home, where her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday led by Pastor Dave Weiss of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cassopolis.
She will be laid to rest in Harrison Cemetery, Decatur.
