Parks’ ‘Night of 1,000’ eggs to hunt in the dark Friday, April 3

VANDALIA – "A Night of a Thousand Eggs," sponsored by Cass County Parks and Recreation Commission, Friends of the Cass County Parks and Cass District Library takes place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 3, at Dr. T.K. Lawless Park, 15122 Monkey Run St., Vandalia.
The lighted Easter egg hunt for ages 2 to 10 takes place at 8 p.m. or dusk.
Bring a flashlight and a bag.
The event, featuring an appearance by the Easter Bunny, costs $1 per person, as well as wagon rides, refreshments for a small additional price, crafts and games (egg and Frisbee tosses) and a bonfire.

From Dowagiac, take M-60 2 1/2 miles east of Vandalia to Lewis Lake Road, turn south, then follow park directional signs.
A Night of a Thousand Eggs promises to offer something for everyone at an affordable price.
As the event title indicates, there will be 1,000 to 2,000 Easter eggs hidden through the fields of Lawless Park to look for under cover of darkness.
