EDWARDSBURG – Along with a great dinner provided by the Union House Bed and Breakfast, Edwardsburg Area Chamber of Commerce members had the opportunity to learn about some benefits of living in Southwestern Michigan on March 4, at the annual Chamber dinner.
The dinner, held at Hope United Methodist Church, is an opportunity for members to meet and elect new board members each March.
President David Ball encouraged members to "keep your money here … support the community."
Robin English of Robin's Nest Quilts and More and CPA Tim Tancy were re-elected and new members include Meryl Christensen and Jamie First.
Chamber members heard about the dental clinic in Dowagiac and many other health services from the guest speaker, Jeffery Elliott, administrator and health office of the Van Buren/Cass District Health Department.
Elliot explained how the Don Lyons Medical Center in Dowagiac came about (where the dental center is located).
The Chamber is in the process of planning the annual Memorial Day Festival, Monday, May 25, held following the parade at 11 a.m., now at Gunn Park.
They are seeking vendors for food, games, crafts and any others.
