Niles' Premier Showing of Making the Past Come Alive will be shown at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at the Greater Niles Senior Center on Bell Road.
If you are interested in archaeology at Fort St. Joseph, Emily Powell and Andy Beaupre, WMU student archaeologists, will talk about the 2008 dig and share information with you about the upcoming 2009 dig program, Open House, and educational opportunities for junior and senior high school students, area teachers, and college students.
If you were there last summer, come and re-fresh your memories; if you were not there, come and learn what went on; if you are interested in archaeology, come and talk to those who have participated in past digs and learn how you can attend a week-long or summer archaeology program. The program is jointly sponsored by Support the Fort, Inc. of Niles and the Archaeology Department of Western Michigan University. There is no charge for the program and refreshments will be served.
