Gene and Helen (Tees) Ferrell of Terre Coupe, Buchanan, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 31, 2009, with a family dinner.
They were married on Jan. 31, 1959, at the Church of Christ, Niles.
Gene worked for Clark Equipment for 16 and a half years, Uniroyal for nine years and at United Fixtures, where he retired in 2001.
Helen was a homemaker.
Their children include Mick (Kim) Ferrell of Niles and Zoraida (Darrel) Dutton of Kennesaw, Ga. They have four grandchildren, Mike (Becky) Ferrell of Niles, Keri (Randall) Radecki of Niles, Tyler Cogan and Laura Cogan, both of Kennesaw, Ga. Great-grandchildren include Kaylynn, Drake, Colt and Kaylee.
