Brandywine girls knock off Covert, 49-15

COVERT – Ten out of 11 players scored for visiting Brandywine on Saturday in the Lady Bobcats' 49-15 victory over Covert in girls' high school basketball.
Brandywine roared out to a 32-6 halftime lead and never looked back.
The Lady Bobcats led 17-4 after one period of play and then outscored the Lady Bulldogs 15-2 in the second period to open up the 26-point halftime cushion.
Neither team scored many points in the second half.
Brandywine put 17 points on the scoreboard, while Covert scored just nine points.
Carlie Newman led a balanced Lady Bobcat scoring attack with 12 points. Brandywine also got seven points from Nicole Newman and six points each from Emily Low and Alexa Perry.
Teila Smith chipped in with five points.
Senario Massey led the Lady Bulldogs with seven points.
In the junior varsity contest, Brandwine won 38-20.
Ellie Price, Jam Jung and D'Nisha Zona all had 10 points for the Lady Bobcats.
Heather Hadden and Kelci Lockwood finished with four and two points respectively.
