Drug arrest made in Benton Harbor

ST. JOSEPH – On Dec. 31 at approximately 8:15 a.m., the Berrien County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit, with assistance from the Road Patrol, executed a search warrant for illegal narcotics at 932 McAlister Ave. in Benton Harbor following a month-long investigation.
At the time of the search warrant execution, officers located four adult subjects and three juveniles inside the residence, Det. Sgt. Robert Boyce reported Thursday.
During the search of the residence, officers located and seized approximately $500 worth of crack cocaine, a small amount of marijuana and other evidence of illegal narcotics trafficking.
The Berrien County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit seized a 1996 Chevrolet Monte Carlo under Michigan's civil forfeiture law.
Delray Marshawn Williams, 38, of 932 McAlister, was arrested and lodged at the Berrien County Jail on four charges – cocaine possession with intent to deliver, second offense; marijuana possession, second offense; maintaining a drug house, second offense; and a civil warrant for failure to pay child support – pending his arraignment in Berrien County Trial Court.
The three juveniles who were located inside of this residence were turned over to the custody of family members. The other three adult subjects inside of this residence at the time of the search warrant execution were released with no criminal charges being sought against them.
