Rangers move to finals

CENTREVILLE – The Cassopolis boys' basketball team will play tonight for the championship of the Centreville Invitational.
The Rangers reached the title game with a 61-43 victory over the host Bulldogs.
Cassopolis (3-2) will take on Mendon tonight in the title game at 7:30.
The Rangers roared out to a 19-7 first quarter lead and led 41-17 at halftime.
Centreville outscored Cass 26-20 in the second half.
Nick Davis scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Rangers, who also got 15 points and six assists from Raymond Nelson and 11 points from Steven Eleazor.
Mike Henningsen led the Bulldogs with nine points. Taylor Jergens added eight.

WHITE PIGEON – Outscored 31-13 in the second half, the Edwardsburg boys' basketball team fell to Battle Creek St. Philip in the opening round of the White Pigeon Holiday Tournament on Monday night.
The Eddies led 14-12 after one period of play, but fell behind 23-16 at the intermission.
Battle Creek upped its advantage to 19 points after outscoring Edwardsburg 16-4 in the pivotal third quarter.
Brian Sevison, Jake Harroff and Kyle Dale all had seven points for the Eddies, who fall to 3-2.
Thomas Bauman led St. Philip with 15 points.
