EDWARDSBURG – Visiting Paw Paw became the latest victim of the Edwardsburg reclamation project.
The Redskins rolled into Edwardsburg High School Tuesday night and found out that the Eddies have been reborn under new coach Dan Gunn.
Edwardsburg came into the game with a 2-0 mark and following its 54-35 victory over Paw Paw, the Eddies are just one win away from equaling last year's total.
Paw Paw fell behind 11-4 after the first eight minutes and found itself down 27-13 at the intermission as Edwardsburg outscored the Redskins 16-9 in the second quarter.
Paw Paw was never able to mount much of a comeback against the Eddies, who held a 27-22 advantage in scoring in the final two quarters and led 40-23 heading into the final stanza.
Brian Sevison had another big game for the Eddies as he scored a game-high 15 points to go along with seven rebounds, three steals and a blocked shot.
Zak Eggleston added 11 points, including a trio of 3-pointers, while Nick Muir also reached double figures with 10 points. He also had six rebounds and a pair of assists.
Jake Harroff chipped in with seven points, four steals and two assists. Ron Preston finished with five points and seven rebounds.
Paw Paw's Nolan Snyder and Julian Butler both scored 10 points. The pair combined for five rebounds and two steals.
The Eddies jump back into Lakeland Conference action on Thursday night as they travel to Bridgman.
