Hayes takes lead into bowl games

NILES – The regular season is finished and FOX 28's Allison Hayes heads into bowl season with a two-game lead in the Daily Star Football Forecasters.
Hayes is 112-38 after the regular season. She over took Leader Publications Pressroom Foreman Bob Bell in the closing stages of the season.
Dan Brawley, Niles' varsity football coach, is second with a record of 110-40, while Brandywine Superintendent John Jarpe is third at 109-41.
Bell and Leader Publications General Manger Bryan Clapper are currently knotted in fourth at 108-42.
Brandywine Board of Education member Dennis Cooper is sixth with a 107-43 record, while Niles High School Assistant Principal Molly Brawley and Congressman Fred Upton, R-St. Joseph are a game farther back at 106-44.
Brandywine Varsity Football Coach Terry Borr is 104-46 and WNIL's Rob Clingaman is 103-47 heading into the final 34 games.
Andre Gresham of the Niles-Buchanan YMCA and Buchanan Varsity Football Coach Joe Austin finished the regular season with records of 101-49 and 97-53 respectively.
With only 11 games separating first and 11th place and 34 games yet to be played, everyone has a chance at claiming the 2008 Football Forecaster crown.
The first bowl selections will appear on Thursday, Dec. 18.
