To the editor:
Thank you for all your help in publishing info on the NCP benefit. It went very well.
We didn't raise millions of dollars, but like everyone said, it's the thought that counts.
We will be having a benefit for ICG in January.
We will be having a Texas Hold 'em Tournament Dec. 14 at 1 p.m. to raise money for needy families in our area.
I would like to thank everyone who helped with the benefit and the following businesses for the gift certificates they provided for the NCP employees:
The Mane Attraction, Wounded Minnow, Laurie Anne's, Who Knew? Consignment, Wahoo's, KFC of Niles, Wal-Mart of Benton Harbor, Division Tire, Oil Can Alley, Behnke's, Caruso's, Mimi Sarducci's, Bakeman Barbers, Benny's Barber Shop, Zeke's, Lindy's, The Inn Between, Harding's, Family Fare and Hale's True Value.
As the holidays come upon us let's remember to be grateful for what we have and to help others when they are in need.
Any gesture or help is greatly appreciated by anyone.
Channel 16 News WNDU covered our benefit and hopefully put the word out there that there that there are many hard- working employees who are looking and that Dowagiac is a great community to start a business. Happy holidays!
