CASSOPOLIS – Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports his office handled a single vehicle traffic crash which resulted in injury on Gumwood Road south of Bertrand Street in Milton Township, Cass County, on Saturday Nov. 22, at approx. 10:33 a.m.
Emergency personnel were called after a southbound vehicle driven by Renato Suasto, 27 yrs, of Niles, lost control and struck a tree at 277 Gumwood Road. Suasto had his younger brother with him in the vehicle at the time of the accident and both were wearing seatbelts. Suasto suffered facial cuts and possibly internal injuries from the crash, as the vehicle struck on the drivers door area.
Assisting were Edwardsburg Fire and Ambulance. Suasto was transported by the ambulance to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment.
