To the editor:
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1855, Men's Auxiliary, would like to thank Dowagiac residents and the following people who helped make the "Ride to Remember" on Sept. 28 a success.
These people are Carl Ball, Cass Crane, Bob Haley, Pota-Pots, Thomas Lawrence, Dinning canopy, Terry Rabb and Sandy Kiggins, Music by Crazy Frogs, Color Guard of VFW Post 1855 and many members of the VFW organization in Dowagiac.
The Ride to Remember is held each year to remember the victims of Sept. 11, 2001.
The Ride to Remember raised more than $8,000 for the American Red Cross.
We entertained more than 430 motorcycles at the VFW in Dowagiac – the largest group to date. Again, we want to thank everyone for their support and hard work.
