Alice Walker, brought to Dowagiac in 1996 by the Dogwood Fine Arts Festival, Monday announced the launch of her first and only Web site and blog, www.alicewalkersgarden.com.
Its title is inspired by her 1974 essay, "In Search of Our Mother's Gardens," in which she explores the creativity of women – especially that of black women in the South.
