Volleyball tournaments getting under way

NILES – The regular seasons are wrapped up for the area volleyball teams and now its time to focus on the league tournaments.
The Wolverine Conference tournament will be held on Saturday at Otsego High School, while the Lakeland Conference tourney gets under way tonight at four sites.
The Lakeland will conclude its tournament on Thursday.
Lakeland Conference
The Lakeland Conference Volleyball Tournament will get under way tonight with four games.
In the upper division, top seeded Coloma will host No. 4 seed Edwardsburg, while the second seed, Berrien Springs, will host Buchanan, the No. 3 seed.
In the other division, Cassopolis will travel to Brandywine, while River Valley will travel to Bridgman.
The tournament concludes on Thursday with the higher seeded winners hosting the lower seeds.
The league championship will be determined by combining the regular season and tournament standings.
Wolverine Conference
The final pairings for Saturday's tournament will not be posted until Thursday due to a full slate of league games Wednesday night.
The seventh, eighth, ninth and 10th place teams will play at 8:30 p.m. with the winners advancing into the eight-team championship tournament, scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
Action will be conducted continuously on four courts.
Admission is $5 per person and concessions will be available.
