This event will take place at Moore Products Inc., 58151 Park Place, Pokagon Township. Cooney's visit will last about 40 minutes.
Cooney, who is running for Congress against Fred Upton, will be discussing many issues, which the state is currently challenged with, both in the business sector and the labor area.
Health care, training for employees, alternative energy and education are some topics that will be discussed.
Cooney is also an associate professor at Western Michigan University.
Also on Friday, Michigan Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land will be in Dowagiac as the guest of Sharon Tyler, Republican candidate for 78th District Michigan House of Representatives.

The event is sponsored by a host committee of prominent Cass County residents supporting Tyler's candidacy.
