To the editor:
I have known Dale for 19 years.
It is my understanding that he grew up in Dowagiac, then moved at a young age to Eau Claire.
I support Dale because I know him to be honest and fair.
Dale is exceedingly well-rounded, having been a prosecutor in Eau Claire and in Ontwa Township. He has served as a defense attorney in the juvenile court and District Court level and Circuit Court, as well as dealing with other civil matters.
In his experience he has served as a private attorney for a number of years, dealing with landlord tenant issues as well as divorce, custody and estate law.
I do not believe there is anyone running for this position who is more experienced than Dale is.
He not only is fair and just, I believe he is a very consistent and concerned person for the welfare of others and would bring that to the bench as well.
Dale has the temperament and disposition to remain fair in dealing with the many different areas of law that he will be called upon to make decisions.
I have never known Dale, in any of the many cases that I have known him to handle, to be arrogant, nor have I ever seen any egotistic behavior on his part.
He would, without a doubt, be fair in all matters that would come in front of him.
Without doubt, I believe his knowledge of the law and his work ethic truly qualify him to be judge.
Of the two candidates who have applied for this judgeship, he is the most capable and clearly the more experienced.
A vote for Dale would be a vote for fair play, honesty and consistency.
The people of Cass County will be well-served with Dale as the next District Court judge.
