Rangers fall to Mustangs in tourney

The Cassopolis soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to visiting River Valley Tuesday night in the final round of the Lakeland Conference soccer tournament.
The Rangers and Mustangs were knotted at 1-1 after one half.
Cassopolis' lone goal came from freshman Blaise Suseland.
The Rangers played without starting keeper John Simpson, who was injured during the match.
Julius Busch stepped in and finished the game for Cassopolis in the net.
The Rangers and Mustangs will get together again on Monday in the opening round of the Division 4 District Soccer Tournament.
Cassopolis will host River Valley in a 4:30 p.m. match.
The winner host Michigan Lutheran on Wednesday, Oct. 15.
The finals are slated for Saturday, Oct. 18 at Bridgman.
