All three specialize in internal medicine

Dr. Meredith Wierman, daughter of longtime area physician Dr. James Wierman, joined his practice at 400 W. Division St.
In addition, Dr. Hong The Vu and Dr. Sangeeta Pal both recently began practicing with Borgess Lee Medical Group in the Donald Lyons Health Center.
All three new physicians are specialists in internal medicine and were guests of honor Tuesday night at a reception which packed Wood Fire Italian Trattoria.
Dr. Pal graduated from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College in India and completed her residency training through Roger Williams Medical Center/Boston University.
Dr. Pal, whose arrival was announced in July, is a member of the American College of Physicians and American Medical Association.
Dr. Wierman, married recently at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in internal medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
Dr. Wierman has a special interest in the study and practice of tropical and travel medicine. Since childhood, she has lived and traveled in Rwanda, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
In Haiti and the Dominican Republic, Dr. Wierman worked in various hospitals and mobile clinics.
In addition to world travel, she has made a commitment to serving the underserved and uninsured populations through free health care clinics in Detroit and Dowagiac.
Dr. Wierman belongs to the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association and Infectious Diseases Society of America.
Dowagiac Medical Associates is a private practice owned by Dr. James Wierman, chief of staff, Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital.
Hong The Vu, M.D., joined Borgess Lee Medical Group June 30.
Dr. Vu graduated with a medical degree from Hanoi Medical School in Vietnam, as well as received a Master of Medicine from Hanoi Medical School and Melbourne University in Victoria, Australia.
He completed his internal medicine residency through Michigan State University/Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies (MSU/KCMS).
Affiliated with Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital, Borgess Lee Medical Group provides pediatric, family practice and internal medicine care, as well as walk-in clinic and outpatient surgery services, to adults and children across the area.
