Niles tennis team defeats Bridgman, 5-3

BRIDGMAN – The Niles varsity tennis team won three out of four doubles flights and split the singles flights in picking up a 5-3 non-conference victory over Bridgman on Tuesday.
The Vikings won at No. 2, 3 and 4 doubles, while Dustin Jankoviak and Matt Ftacek were victorious at No. 3 and No. 4 singles.
Jankoviak defeated Charlie Pawlik 6-7, 6-1 and 6-1, while Ftacek blanked Chad Starbuck 6-0 and 6-0.
Niles' No. 2 doubles team of Jordan Arnold and Brad Benjamin defeated Aaron Klug and Joseph Koehler 6-4 and 6-2, while Mike Simpson and Collin Latislaw at No. 3 doubles knocked off Trace Frendsen and Cody Hartzler 6-3 and 6-0.
Chris and Alex Lewellen blanked Logan Pitts and Nate Glen at No. 4 doubles 6-0 and 6-0.
