Northridge (Ind.) swept both the boys' and girls' titles at the Viking Stampede at Dowagiac Middle School on a hot and humid Saturday morning.
Northridge scored 27 points in the boys' race to edge LaPorte (Ind.), which finished with 39 points.
Penn (Ind.) took third with 100 points, while Michigan City (Ind.), Mishawaka (Ind.), Lakeshore and Niles rounded out the order of finish.
LaPorte's Matt Miller was the overall winner with a time of 16:00. Andrew Albert of Northridge was second in 16:25.
Niles' Mark Calhoun earned a 20th place finish with a time of 17:51.
Northridge scored 41 points in the girls' race to win by 16 points over runner-up Mishawaka, which had a team total of 57 points.
Penn was third, LaPorte fourth, Michigan City fifth, Niles sixth and Lakeshore seventh.
Sklar Hilton of Northridge was the overall girls' winner with a time of 19:47 to easily outdistance runner-up Emily Haines of Mishawaka, who ran a time of 20:01.
Niles' Madie placed 12th with a time of 21:07, while Liz VandenHeede was 16th in a time of 21:40.
