NILES – This year, according to state law, the Michigan public schools will start classes after Labor Day.
First day of school for all Brandywine students grades kindergarten through grade 12 will be on Tuesday, Sept. 2, with a regular full-day schedule for grades seventh through 12, and a half day for grades kindergarten through sixth.
Orientation for seventh grade will be Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 6 p.m. in the Brandywine Middle/Senior High School Gym.
All new enrollees should bring a copy of their immunization record, birth certificate, and social security number when enrolling. Students must meet current Michigan Department of Health immunization requirements before they begin school.

Schedules will be available on the first day of school for students grades nine through 12 in Advisory class. Students in eighth grade will go to the Lecture Hall to pick up their schedules. Students in grade seven will receive their class schedule at Orientation.
Bell Education Center – Alternative and Adult Education Classes
Enrollment is taking place daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Bell Education Alternative/Adult Education Program Office, 1830 S. Third St., Niles.
Alternative Education Classes will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 2, with a regular full-day schedule. Classes are Monday through Friday from 8:13 a.m. to 2:37 p.m.
Adult Education Classes will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 2. Class times are Monday through Thursday from 12:30 to 8 p.m., and on Fridays from noon to 3 p.m.
Child care services are provided for participating students only, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. For further information call 269-683-8805.
