Terrance Jay Sodeman, 47, of Kessington Road, Edwardsburg, Mason Township, died at 4:45 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at Memorial Hospital,, South Bend, Ind., where he was a patient for about one week.
A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Kessington Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Steven Steele, pastor of Kessington Community church.
Friends called on Tuesday afternoon at the Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home, Edwardsburg, before the procession went to the cemetery.
He was born on Dec. 16, 1960, in Elkhart, Ind., to Russell E. Sodeman and Mary Ellen (Adams) Sodeman.
He did miscellaneous general labor work and had lived in the Michiana area all of his life, including Walkerton and Elkhart in Indiana and Edwardsburg and Union.
He is survived by his caretaker, a niece,Tamara K. Mentor of Bristol, Ind.; many nieces and nephews; two brothers, Jack Edward (Sharon) Sodeman of Edwardsburg and Kenneth Eugene Sodeman of Walkerton; and three sisters, Nancy (James T.) Watson of Bristol, Ind., Sue (Charlie) Sims of Elkhart, Ind. and Sandra (Les) Hively of Niles.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Timothy R. Sodeman, who died on March 11, 2006 and Thomas Russell Sodeman.
Arrangements were by the Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home, Edwardsburg.
