NILES – 2008 Niles High School graduate Autumn Grayson, a three-year member of the Viking cross country team and four-year member of the track team has chosen to continue her running career at Western Michigan University.
Grayson earned All-Conference honors in the 3,200-meter relay and 800-meter run the past two seasons in track and was also a regional champion and state qualifier in the 3,200-meter run the last two years.
She earned All-County honors in cross country.
Grayson chose Western Michigan over Spring Arbor University, Hope College, Elmhurst College and Bethel College because she wanted to compete with some of the top athletes in the country.
She feels that this will be a big challenge and is looking forward to being a Bronco.
She will report to Western for team workouts on Aug. 20.
