To the editor:
On Tuesday, Aug. 5, voters in Cass County will have a big decision to make regarding the best choice for Fourth District Court judge.
We've been busy reading, talking and listening to determine which of the candidates we'll vote for.
We've had the opportunity to hear all three candidates on a number of occasions at candidate forums and other "meet the candidates" events.
While each candidate possesses his or her own particular strengths, we have decided to vote for Stacey Rentfrow.
Each time we've heard her speak, Stacey projects competence, confidence, character and straightforwardness.
Our decision to support and campaign for her is based on several factors. But those that stand out the most are Stacey's integrity, her experience as a mediator and referee and, most of all, her commitment to the principles of justice, impartiality and respect for those who will come before her in the courtroom.
Of all the candidates, we believe Stacey best exemplifies the type of judge we would like to see serving the people of Cass County.
She shares the personal values and ethics we hold important.
Her disposition and interpersonal skills are marks of distinction.
Coupled with her judicial skills, we think she is the best-qualified candidate and hope you will consider voting for her in the Aug. 5 primary and the general election in November.
Thank you for your consideration of Stacey's candidacy.
