Brandywine’s Jim Myers resigns softball position

NILES – Veteran Brandywine softball coach Jim Myers has decided to retire after 17 years as the Lady Bobcats leader.
Myers submitted his letter of resignation to Brandywine Athletic Director Vance Stratton last Thursday.
Myers won his 500th career game this past season and has 200 victories in the Lakeland Conference.
where his Lady Bobcats won nine straight league titles between 1999 and 2007.
Brandywine won eight district championships, three regional titles and in 2001, the school's only state championship.
The Lady Bobcats were also runners-up in 2003 and 2004.
Myers will be the first to tell you that you win with great talent and that he has had throughout his Brandywine career.
In all, Myers coached 53 All-Conference selections and 28 first team All-State players.
Attempts to reach Myers this morning were unsuccessful.
