To the editor:
I am writing this letter in support of Bill Baber as the Republican Candidate for State Representative in Michigan's 78th District. My support of Bill is not something new. I supported him in his previous campaigns and I and my family are proud to do so again. My support for Bill comes from the heart first and foremost. I simply believe in Bill. I like what he brings to the table as he time and again says that he wants to put Southwest Michigan first. I like what he brings in life experience and his tenacious desire to represent all of us in Lansing. Bill has worn many shoes in his life as a husband, father, businessman and military serviceman just to name a few and he has succeeded in all of those endeavors.
I have had some people ask me why would Bill run again and why would I support him? I simply answer, "Why not?" Bill ran two extremely hard races previously against the incumbent and, as the numbers show, came up short by slim margins. He ran very energetic and thorough races that now give him a greater understanding of the way of life in the 78th District over any other candidate in this campaign. His sincere desire is obvious to anyone who speaks with him. This man wants this job. In the age of term limits where a State Representative has only six years to serve, this puts Bill at a certain advantage in fully representing the interests and needs of the 78th District. I would encourage you to join me in voting for Bill Baber in the Primary Election on Tuesday Aug. 5th.
