Blossomland Soccer playoffs set

NILES – The Blossomland Soccer League wrapped up its regular season on Thursday with a trio of matches.
The St. Joe Kickers Premier blanked Dura Mold FC 9-0 in the First Division, while Barcelona defeated the Dowagiac Dawgs 5-0 in the Second Division.
In an interdivisional exhibition match, Whirlpool defeated the St. Joe Kickers Reserves 13-1.
The playoffs will begin on Thursday, July 17 with First Division top seeded Athletic Jaier taking on fourth place Diamonds Premier at Bridgman High School at 6:30 p.m.
The second seeded St. Joe Kickers Premier will host third place Whirlpool at the Kickers Club in Arden on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
The winners advance to the championship match at the Kickers Club on July 20 at 4 p.m.
The Second Division playoffs have the top seeded Niles Wolverines hosting the fourth place Dowagiac Dawgs on Thursday at Niles High School.
Second Seeded Barcelona will take on third place Buchanan FC at Andrews Academy on Thursday.
Both matches will begin at 6:30 p.m.
The winners move on to the championship match at the Kickers Club at 2 p.m.
The Blossomland Cup will be played the following Saturday (July 27) at the Kickers Club at 2 p.m.

Justin Brown and Emmanuel Santana both scored two goals for Barcelona, which finished the regular season with a 6-1 record.
The Dawgs completed the regular season with a 4-3 record.
Kickers…9
Dura Mold…0
Andrew Girvin scored three goals, while Tony Black and Tom McCurdy each had two goals for the Kickers, who wrap up the regular season with a 6-1-1 mark.
Also scoring for the Kickers were Evan Lint and Kyle Brogan.
Dura Mold finishes the 2008 campaign with a 3-5 record.

Mike Dalton and Denis Morais both had three goals for Whirlpool, while Jonatan Martinez, Kyle Smallwood and John Scouler each had two goals.
Matt Young also scored for Whirlpool.
Josh Lopez had the lone goal for the Kickers Reserves.
