ST. JOSEPH – The Niles-Brandywine Girls Softball Association 12U All-Star team took second place at the Eaton Park Invitational on Sunday.
Niles was defeated in the championship game by North Lincoln 8-0.
The All-Stars reached the title game by defeating Berrien Springs 11-3, North Lincoln 5-4, as well as beating Dowagiac 19-3 and 15-0.
Mikayla Kemp was the winning pitcher against North Lincoln and Dowagiac in the semifinals, while Jordan Wregglesworth and Tala Gentry were the winning pitchers against Berrien Springs and Dowagiac respectively.
Sportsmanship awards were presented to Hanna Porterfield (Berrien Springs and Dowagiac games), Kemp (North Lincoln), Jenna Smith (Dowagiac) and Gentry (North Lincoln).
