Howard Township wins at Eaton Park

ST. JOSEPH – Howard Township used a 10-run second inning to advance in the Eaton Park Invitational on Tuesday.
Howard defeated South Haven 15-0 in Peanut League A action.
Niles was defeated by St. Joe 8-0 in Peanut League A play, while Brandywine fell to Hartford in Peanut League B action, 13-12.
In other games, Dowagiac's All-Star teams went 1-2.
Dowagiac defeated North Lincoln 9-7, but fell to Coloma 12-5 in the second contest.
Dowagiac's Peanut League A All-Stars were defeated by Harris, 10-3.

Hunter Bedell had three hits and Bray Plomb a pair of doubles and three RBIs as Howard Township steamrolled South Haven.
Kaden Coquillard also had two doubles.

St. Joe…8
A four-run fourth inning broke open a close game for St. Joe.
Tayton Stevens, Bryce Lenox, Jerod Glenn, Brenton Harrell and Jakob Karsen all had hits for Niles.
Bryce Ulm, Peter Morris and Rob Kurtz all had two hits for St. Joe.

Hartford…13
Hartford scored a run in the bottom of the fifth to pull out the victory in a game stopped by the time limit.
Austin Hurt had two doubles for Brandywine, while Josh Thompson had a pair of singles.
Garrod Johnson and Nate Scherer each had three hits for Hartford.
North Lincoln…7
Dowagiac…9
Dowagiac built up a 9-3 lead before North Lincoln scored four times in the top of the sixth.
Dowagiac scored a run in the first, two in the second and three in both the third and fifth innings to account for its scoring.
North Lincoln had two runs in the first and one in the second.
David Helmuth went 3-for-3 with three RBIs for Dowagiac.
Cameron Wright was 2-for-3 to lead North Lincoln.

Dowagiac scored twice in the second and three times in the fourth inning, while Coloma scored two runs in the first and second innings, four times in the third, a run in the fourth and three runs in the fifth.
Mack Charles had two hits for Dowagiac, while Jordan Jobe had three hits for Coloma.

All three of Dowagiac's runs came in the first inning.
Harris scored a run in the second, three in the third and six runs in the fifth.
Jamin Hunt and Tony Nate both had two hits for Dowagiac.
Nick Knobloch had a single and three triples to lead Harris. He also drove in three runs, while A.J. Antanelli had two singles and a double.
