Eaton Park tourney under way

ST. JOSEPH – The Eaton Park Invitational is under way.
Many of the local teams will begin action later this week, but a couple have already taken the field.
On Monday, the Howard Township All-Stars edged South Haven 7-5 in Peanut League A action, while Dowagiac fell to Paw Paw 3-0.
Niles, Howard Township and Dowagiac will all be in action on Wednesday.
Howard Township will take on South Haven at 5:30 p.m. on Field B, while Niles and St. Joseph will square off on Field E, also at 5:30. Dowagiac and Harris will meet on Field E at approximately 6:45 p.m.
Buchanan will open up Peanut League B competition tonight at 8 when it faces Watervliet on Field E.
Brandywine will face Hartford on Field E on Wednesday at 8 p.m., while it will play again on Thursday against Three Oaks at 8 p.m. on Field E.
Buchanan was a 14-4 winner over Lawrence in Minor B action on Monday. The Buchanan All-Stars are back in action on Thursday against Hartford on Field F at 5:30 p.m.
Dowagiac will face North Lincoln today in Minor C play at 5:30 p.m. on Field F, while on Friday, Buchanan will take on North Lincoln on Field F at 5:30 p.m.
Howard Township will face North Lincoln in Little A action on Thursday at 9 p.m. on Field C. It will also play on Saturday at 2:15 p.m. against Lakeshore.
Cassopolis dropped its Little B opener to Berrien Springs, 6-1.
Buchanan, which played Tuesday night against Bridgman, is back in action on Saturday at 9 a.m. against Three Oaks, while Cassopolis will take on Watervliet at 10:45 a.m.
Both games will be played on Field C.
Dowagiac has two teams in Little C competition.
Dowagiac-Guernsey took on St. Joseph on Tuesday night, while Dowagiac-Kinyon will face North Lincoln on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. on Field C.
Dowagiac-Guernsey will play Lakeshore on Friday at 5:30 p.m., while Dowagiac-Kinyon will take on Coloma on Saturday at 5:45 p.m. Both games are on Field C.
Pony League play continued on Tuesday night with Buchanan facing Lakeshore.
Buchanan will play again on Friday against Coloma at 7 p.m. on Field A and then on Saturday against North Lincoln at 1 p.m., also on Field A.
