GRANBURY, Texas – Hot on the heels of two successful Football Fantasy Camps organized by Global Football at the University of Notre Dame and Penn State University – the dates for the anticipated 2009 camps have been confirmed.
Fighting Irish fanatics can head to South Bend, Ind., all under the tutelage of current coaches and former players from the famous schools. The campers live like college football athletes – dressing in the varsity locker room and wearing authentic school apparel – and meet and interact with many of their heroes.
The highlight of the camps is a semi-contact flag football game played in Notre Dame Stadium.
The winning touchdown from the Notre Dame Blue-Gold Fantasy Camp game, which came with nine seconds remaining, aired on ESPN Sportscenter as one of the program's Top 10 plays of the day on July 2.
Quarterback Bud Johnson, age 54, from Los Alamitos, Calif., and receivers Chris Secreto, 47, of Kirkland, Wash., and Brian Pieroni, 40, from Chesapeake, VA, returned home to discover they had become overnight stars.

Each camper enjoys the inside access to the football program never before allowed any booster or alumnus.
They stay in the historic on-campus hotel, dine in hallowed halls, dress in the home locker rooms with personalized locker name plates, are outfitted in authentic team apparel and uniforms, receive previously-secret playbooks and learn the X's &O's from position coaches.
They gain an understanding of recruiting, are cared for by the athletic trainers and meet Charlie Weis while being coached by their assistant coaches.
