NILES – Lakeland HealthCare has promoted Tammy Jerz, RN, of Dowagiac, to manager of the BirthPlace at Lakeland Community Hospital, Niles. In her new role, Jerz will oversee the daily operations and community outreach of the BirthPlace.
Most recently, Jerz served as Supervisor of the Critical Care Unit and Progressive Care Unit at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph. She also worked for 18 years at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo as Clinical Leader of Cardiac Telemetry, House Supervisor, and a registered nurse in the Birthing Center.
Jerz earned the Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Nazareth College, Kalamazoo. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Nursing, and she holds Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
