When families have a student athlete, a sports physical is typically part of their annual to-do list.
On June 5, Borgess Lee Medical Group offered area student athletes the convenience of meeting this requirement at nearby Dowagiac Middle School.
The sports physicals included height, weight and vision check, blood pressure and pulse screening, urinalysis, and general exam. Gardasil (a vaccine to prevent cervical cancer) and Menactra (a vaccine to protect against meningococcal disease) immunizations were also available. Along with several staff members from the health department, the following Borgess Lee Medical Group professionals lent their skilled assistance and time to the event:
